Traditional fairytale princesses raised us and continue to do so. But today, whether from a book, a film or a series, Cinderella and Buffy, Snow White and Sailor Moon, Mulan and Xena, the Little Mermaid and Scully also serve to make the cages of sexism, homophobia and racism visible.
