In a typically eighteenth-century setting, today stands the nativity scene of San Marco depicting some of the most important biblical episodes of the Old and New Testaments.
The nativity scene of San Marco is set in the cellars of the eighteenth century Palazzo Fabbri and is made up of 45 scenes curated by Don Marco Polverari. They reproduce the main biblical events of the Old and New Testament, from the creation of Man with the representation of the original sin of Adam and Eve, to Noah's Ark up to the Annunciation of the Archangel Gabriel and the resurrection of Jesus. The nativity scene allows to make an evocative journey, thanks to the presence of more than five hundred statues moved through complex mechanical systems, created specifically for the representation by local artisans.
